Stevens
Worldwide Van Lines is a full-service domestic van line, an international
forwarder, and corporate relocation management specialists. In
2003, Stevens' domestic van line operation handled 11,981
interstate relocations for families domestically, and Stevens
International forwarding divisions helped relocate over 2,500
families internationally. In addition, Stevens' company-owned
branches helped relocate 702 families within their local community
and also completed over 1,300 local office and industrial relocations.
Altogether, Stevens performed nearly 17,000 relocations in 2003.
The Stevens Group began in 1905 as Stevens Brothers Cartage
and Storage. Frederick H. Stevens, Jr. bought his first
horse and dray
to service the railroad depot in Saginaw, Michigan. Today the
Stevens Group has developed into a diversified transportation
management
company, well positioned for the future.
Our main office, corporate headquarters and move center are
located in our original home of Saginaw, Michigan, while
Stevens International
Forwarders, formed in 1980, operates from offices in Columbia
City, Indiana and Seattle, Washington.
Today, Stevens Worldwide Van Lines is an internationally recognized
industry leader, employing approximately 500 individuals
during peak season, as well as over 400 qualified drivers.
We currently
have 11 branch offices, over 500 agents nationwide and over
700 international agents. Stevens combines experience with
leading-edge
technology and maintains customer loyalty by remaining committed
to customer satisfaction.
Stevens Worldwide Van Lines is a motor carrier holding nationwide
operating authority granted by the U.S. Department of Transportation
USDOT #72029, with a service scope of the 50 states and
to and from the continental United States and Canada. We
provide
relocation
and move management service to private and public sector
organizations and corporations.
Our Government Traffic division is a recognized leader
in quality relocations for the Department of Defense
and other
government/military
agencies. In 2002, this division handled 7,665 relocations
throughout the United States. Stevens owns and operates
nine affiliated
carriers and forwarders for DOD (Department of Defense)
business. They are

Service Company, Inc.
(BUSV) and Burnham World Forwarders, Inc. (BWFD). Stevens
Government Traffic Division is widely known for its prompt
and accurate
agent payment and for critical attention to quality,
which assures significant
booking volume to our agency family.
Stevens International Forwarders, freight forwarder license
#FF487, has managed international moves since its formation
in 1980.
Our international division has agents worldwide that
work with the
staff members located at its Columbia City, Indiana
and Seattle, Washington offices servicing shipments for
both
public and
private organizations and corporations. In 2002, Stevens
International Forwarders handled over 2,500 international
relocations. Our
clients include Fortune 500 companies, as well as some
of America's leading growth businesses and family owned
firms,
in a diverse
range of industries and service groups, including automotive,
manufacturing,
engineering and the government.
