A local move constitutes any job conducted entirely by the hour, with a two to three hour minimum. The hourly rate is determined by the number of trucks and movers needed to do the job. Overnight storage is available as needed. As suggested by MDTE guidelines we also charge for travel time from our office to your pick-up address and after the job is completed from your new location or storage back to our office. The above rates do not include packing or materials (boxes, tape, wrapping paper, etc.). However, we do offer free estimates and free box delivery.

It is often better to overestimate, that way we can always deduct the difference if you take less than what you had originally told us. Better yet, have us come to your home to do an actual walk through estimate... at no charge!

For long distance moves we charge by pound or volume of the cargo to be moved. We travel anywhere across the Continental United States. A representative can help you to calculate this volume as well as how many trucks and men will be needed to handle it; all you need to do is provide a list of the items to be moved.

We also provide a free in-home estimate, which we recommend for any home move involving more than one bedroom. At that time, we can also better analyze your packing needs. And, by all means, let us know if you are taking a piano because this entails extra planning. Before you start, whether you are going to rely on a telephone estimate or an in-home estimate, take a few minutes to make an accurate and detailed list of the items you intend to move. This planning will help to avoid any pricing discrepancies at the end of the move. Once all items are packed and ready to go, we mark or tag the boxes and their content so that from the start of the move to its finish, we know where everything is housed. All packing and materials, such as packing tape and boxes, cost extra, of course, but as you will see the charges are very affordable.
